This pen is made with hard rubber as base material, sturdy and durable, presenting multiple layers of color. In 1838, there is someone used vulcanization to harden rubber and invented the first synthetic rubber. Natural rubber has good elasticity, but after vulcanization, a firm colloid can be obtained, which is called ebonite or vulcanite. The different degree of vulcanization, the different hardness of rubber can be produced. Although each company has the same ebonite pen material, there are still differences in softness and hardness due to different prescriptions
