【CYPRESS－Maki-e：The animals of blessing-Deer】

Our ancestor connected「Meilu」(Eyebrow represents good fortune) with deer bamboo and take the meaning of blessing.The special formation of spot on the bamboo rib is like covered by animal skin which makes the "animal spots" on them come alive.The designer uses such a unique pattern to depicts beautiful patterns.

The sika deer rambling in the plum forest. Instead of the bright and colorful style, we use low chroma and more quaint way to present the maki-e's technique this time to express the distant prospect.

Deer bamboos are characterized by their similar dots seen on chitals, aka spotted deers. The design of this pen harmoniously combines the maki-e of deers with the deer bamboo pen body of the same tone.

The pen is decorated with mokume-gane finials and fitted with a Bock nib.
