In ancient Egypt, the status of cats was the same as that the dragons in ancient China. As other animals endowed with divine nature, cats has a sacred and noble status. The cat was considered by the Egyptians to be the incarnation of light, and was offered as national animals.

The designer uses pure gold lacquer powder to paint the cat. When applying the lacquer, the designer accurately controls the strength while shading the gold powder, which perfectly presents the looming, chiaroscuro, and gradation of the lacquer and gold powder. Sprinkle pure gold Nashiji gold powder first, and then apply transparent Nashiji lacquer, with a transparent coating technique to layer and stack meticulously, it belongs to the kind that Togidashi Maki-e ,making the coated lacquer shimmer like glistening gold, presenting the shining and noble effect of the cat.
